Updates Coming to Third Eye Rave Wear 12.22.2022

Hello my fellow Goddesses ! As always I try to be as clear and transparent with you all as possible. Life is full of craziness and unexpected turns but we are moving ahead preparing for the 2023 Festival Season!

I have a lot of new things planned for the brand that we are currently looking to adjust as we learn and with that being said we are still so new so please bear with us as we work out the kinks!

For starters a common question we get asked is if we plan on adjusting our size chart to include larger sizes. We have always made accommodations for those who fall outside of the size chart whether your measurements are smaller or larger. We do this because statistically speaking when measurements surpass a certain number the measurements for bust, waist and hips do not follow a linear change and a person's height does not change in the same pattern either this also means that as we move up in measurements there is less likelihood that a standard size would fit a lot of people. This is frustrating for both the buyer and creator, this is why Third Eye has adopted a custom measurement style where we are willing to adjust our patterns depending on the measurements that are specific to you. We understand that people would like to see their sizes on a size chart though and not go through the hassle of reaching out to let a brand know their measurements each time they want to order. With that being said we are working to expand the size chart which will include sizes larger than a 2XL. This also means we will be using a widely accepted bust to waist to hip ratio for items. If these measurements do not work for you please reach out and let us know so we can adjust items for you. Secondly on this issue, we as a small business also understand that societal beauty standards and measurements aren’t always the most realistic for people who we do need your help in selecting sizing that best represents our customers. Please look out for story polls on IG to vote for sizing that you think is the most realistic for you. Our final change on this topic is the actual measurements that are affiliated to letter sizing. Most brands have adopted a 3in range per letter size. For example our current guide has an XS as a 29-31 bust, this is mostly due to the fabrics most shops use being stretchy however sometimes the difference of a 29 bust and 31 bust can mean a lot and not fit someone of both sizes the same. We are debating on changing to a 2 inch size chart meaning our XS that was once 29-31 inch bust may become 29-30 inches and now 31 is pushed to a size S. Our conflict with this is that this may not properly reflect sizing in the fashion industry and so you may be a small in the fashion world but now a medium here. This is something in the works and we would always love the opinion of our customers on the topic.

Third Eye is also going to be clearing out our website. We have decided to change a lot of our design options (like our bottoms) to properly reflect what they are categorized as as well as reflect our new sizing that is tbd. This means that some of the items you see now may no longer be available in the next few months. Some changes that are coming for sure are new bottoms. We have a full coverage option coming which has been used in our Queen Coverage Mystery Sets. We also are changing our cheeky bottoms also know as the Pentacle Bottom AND we’re adding a second cheeky option that has been used in our Fairy Coverage Mystery Sets. We also have an updated Leo Bottom which is the high waisted thong cut style. The divine bottoms will stay the same as will our shorts. Some items we plan to remove for good as well but haven’t full decided because we still have some other kinks in the works.

Speaking about working out the kinks, Third Eye is debating on switching from stock items, meaning giving the option to order a certain style in multiple different fabrics to selling just one of a kind pieces along with just sets in one set fabric. The debate comes from wanting to create lots of fun and special styles and sets without making the same sets over and over again. We also understand that some people really like to get the same set in different fabrics because they love the fit and they feel comfortable in it. So this is a change we are still deciding on. It also has seemed to cause ordering issues where customers are purchasing items without completely reading the information on the item and not even reading the options you need to select to add the item to your cart. This is resulting in customers assuming they are getting the exact fabric of the item in the picture despite having to select a pattern choice in the options. We get being confused and while we have a policy stating we only accept exchanges for sizing issues we have been trying to help and this causes us to lose out on money, time and resources. When you purchase an item for $50 and it costs $10 for supplies and 2 hours to make, we get paid $20 an hour. When you want to exchange that made to order item because you did not read the listing needs now it is still $50 but the first item cost $10 for supplies and now so is the new one. We go down to $30 left spread across the now 4 hours of labor meaning we made $7.50 an hour which is not a liveable wage and way below minimum wage. We aren’t Amazon and so with that being said we think it may just be easier to stick to less items and options to avoid any confusion moving forward. We never want to not help our customers but this also cannot leave us barely above breaking even. So we are taking steps to help fix the issue for both you and us.

Now don’t panic !!! We will 100% keep our mystery sets as they are so loved by all of you and are a great affordable option and those sets may be the only continuation of certain styles. While we love the affordability of our mystery sets, the price unfortunately will have to go up soon. The cost of materials has unfortunately gone up and we will eventually make little to nothing on these sets. Our time still deserves fair pay while we try to keep the set price low. When we plan to adjust prices we will give everyone a two month notice. We do expect to raise the sets $10 each. Please know this is not something we wanted to do but needed to do due to the cost of our materials rising. I hope you agree that $60 for a set with an accessory is still a great deal and price range. Plus most items will come double lined and most will also be reversible so it kinda makes it a two-for-one!

If you have gotten this far it genuinely means so much to us that you are along with us for the journey and to watch us grow ! Now we want to get into the fun stuff to come for the upcoming 2023 festival season that really should peak an interest….. UPCOMING DROPS!!!

Because of personal family issues, some orders were incredibly delayed and that is completely on me. I have greatly appreciated everyone who has been so kind and who has dealt with it and supported me through it. For those who do not know, my dad went missing while out on his boat 10/30 of this year, just a week after my Tiktok of the Mystery Set got 12k views and I received the largest amount of orders I ever have. As of today, 12/22, my dad still has not been found. I am still a mess emotionally but I know he would not want me to stop my dream for this so I am finally trying to power through. So with that being said I am working on an EDCLV drop. This drop consists of 1-2 made to order sets. This drop should be happening late January. EDCLV will also get a second smaller drop with a handful of one-of-a-kind ready to ship items. In full transparency, this drop will be more expensive than you may be used to seeing from me as I am including elements that I have not used yet. This ready to ship I plan to drop more so near the end of March beginning of April since they will be premade. The second drop coming will be for Electric Forest which will follow the same general idea. The two made-to-order sets will drop more so near the end of February to the beginning of March. The ready-to-ship items will drop at the beginning of May. Please note that I will be going to both EDCLV and Forest this year, both my first times! Customs for these festivals will be closing earlier than expected to give myself time to prepare as well.

One of the sets that is planned for the made-to-order Forest outfits will be in honor of my dad and will be ocean, mermaid, beach themed after his favorite place to be. I will be donating 20% of the profits to an organization that cleans our oceans. I am currently looking towards 4Ocean which is an organization my dad and I both loved. We wore their bracelets together and I carry around the first one he had with me everyday. It was very important to us. We spent a lot of time at the beach together and one of my favorite memories is picking up the trash people left behind to help protect the place we love so much. I can keep going but I’ll save that for the drop of the items :)

I hope you’re all excited to see what is to come and open to the changes being made. It will all be for the better. Let’s get ready for the 2023 festival season! I can’t wait to see all you goddesses out there <3

Stay Beautiful,

Kaylin xoxo
